Those of you who have known me for a long time will know what a huge deal it is that I have finally bought my own apartment! Its been on the cards for at least 5 years and, in the last 13 years I have had to move house 10 times. In that 10 times, 3 times the landlord decided to move back in and a few were temporary homes I rented thinking I would be ready to buy my own home, only to find housing prices going up so much that my deposit was never enough. So I’ve settled on an apartment that I could afford. Its not my dream home but I’m hoping to make it my dream home at least in its styling!

4 night in and its a total lemon. None of the appliances work (rangehood, dryer, dishwasher), the light switches have no correlation to the lights in that room, there is no powerpoints in the study, the bath leaks from underneath (?!?) as well as the sink. There are lots of caulking jobs (which I love however!!) and the whole place needs a paint. So. It was affordable for a reason but I plan to make it a home!

Given all these unexpected costs I have decided to update my throne account with a “Housewarming Gifts” wishlist. If you are not registered for throne and would like to contribute to my decorating fund my beemit is hannah2020, and I also have bank account details available for DD.

Because of the move, and other major life events, I will be off work until Sunday the 30th.
